Perhaps a wee bit quieter today but maybe that was due to the anticipation of this afternoon's international autumn test?
Still, the serving 7 got stuck into a new activity from Dustythefitnesspainmaster and Frankiepitchsideconsultant desinged to get those muscles and rugby brains working.
Players were asked what they wanted to do next and it was a 4 v 3 game, but not contact!
Next up it Andywackysocks2 with the ground is your friend, pencil shape wins and toes, heels, head, hands to win the ruck competition. It started off slowly but once they got the hang of it the attacker was getting into position early and defender was winning the counter ruck.
Water break and it was a 4 v 3 short game with Dustythefitnesspainmaster being the game coach.
The next activity was designed to allow the attack to beat the defence by keeping the hips square to the try line, run straight and support play. Bonus points if players ran at defender shoulders and side stepping with the correct foot!
Back into a 4 v 3 game but with a focus of with hips square to the try line, running straight and support play. It was great to see players had been listening and working hard to put their feedback into game situations (under pressure).
Frankiepitchsideconsultant is stuffed full of pride and really excited about the next steps for the squad in terms of attack and how to beat those defences that will be there in the forth coming festivals and tournaments.
Remember to ask your rugby brain what is the one thing you need to stop doing and the one thing you need to start doing to improve my rugby skills?
