A break from national league action and start of cup games the lads came up against a determined and well drilled Ellon team in a close and nail biting encounter. Gutted to be on the wrong side of the score, everyone was given game time and I can’t fault the effort of each player today.

Player of the match was Lucas, another solid game causing havoc for defences and showing a selfless attitude to ensure his teammates also got a share of the ball at times.

Special mentions to Ross, Noah and Ethan who have shown playing U15 rugby is keeping them sharp and ready for any call back up to our squad when needed. Fraser for leading from the front and Marley for determined tackling at full back. Barnaby for his ball carrying and also Finlay for his determination throughout the game.

We go again next week and will look to build up again for national league rugby, I must also thank the many parents, other Mackie squads and friends who supported us giving a great atmosphere for the lads to play in.
